Everyone’s invited for a fun evening of live music and dancing. If you’ve never done contra dancing before, no worries, we’ll teach you how! It’s easy and great for a big group. Contra dance is a group line dance which involves a caller, with dancers forming pairs and moving up and down the length of the room. The caller will walk us through each dance before it starts. This evening is designed for ages 10 and up (or younger children who can follow directions well), so come have some fun! Drinks provided, but please bring a snack to share.
Tutorial at 6:30, dance from 7-9.

The Flint Hills Contra Dance and Music Association usually holds a dance on the 2nd Saturday of the month, HOWEVER, this month the December dance will happen on New Year's Eve. It will be a special dance held at the beautiful Peace Memorial Auditorium at 1101 Poyntz Ave. It will be called by Kate McBride, played by a variety of musicians, and it will start at 8:30 and end shortly after midnight. It has been so much fun the last two years, they are putting it on again.
